Forum Rules

Everyone is welcome at Writers BBS and it’s hoped your stay will be interesting, fun and productive. If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the Administrative Issues Forum, we value your thoughts and ideas on ways to improve the site.

Please limit sales messages to the Announcements forum.

Do not post personal attack messages (flames) in any forum.

In the hosted forums, formerly known as Inkspot forums, the host or moderator has the final say in all disputes. They have the ability to delete messages within their individual forums. The site administrators will stand behind the decisions of the forum hosts 100%.

The site administrators reserve the right to delete any message posted in any forum for any reason.

Dispute resolution policy:

It’s inevitable that people will have disagreements and personality conflicts and we will give you every opportunity to resolve them in the Mediation Forum, it is a monitored forum.

The following will not be permitted:

To resolve an issue, it must be kept between the people directly involved. Ganging up on either side will not be permitted.
Taking dispute issues to other forums for the sake of interrupting the flow of that forum to pursue an argument or vendetta.
Not taking disputes to mediation when it becomes disruptive to the forum the dispute began in.
The following would not be appropriate in a real life situation and will not be permitted here:
- Racial slurs or sexual innuendo/dialog: that is not part of narrative, poetry or screenplay in the proper forums.
- Vendettas: which includes bringing names of others, not directly involved in the mediation or disagreement, into the dispute.
- Using real life names, information not volunteered by the person named, or ignoring requests that personal information not to be used.
- Threats, or deliberate disruption of the forums for any reason.
- Any/all behavior deemed inappropriate by the Site Designer and Site Administrator.

Rule enforcement:

The procedure for infractions of the rules will be handled by email. A warning email with the following information will be sent:

We are sorry but the behavior you have exhibited in (name of forum) is not acceptable to the rules of Writers BBS.

You will have three email warnings to correct the problems. After the first email is sent you will not make anymore posts in that forum until you have resolved the difference with the Writer's BBS Administrator or Writer's BBS Webmaster. Failure to do so will result in the following:

1. Your account will be deleted for 3 days, you may reapply after that period.
2. Any further account infraction will result in a permanent deletion of your account from this site.
